Roar with Pete the Lion!!

Goooood morning!

I finally had a chance to make some fun food again!
Its a few hectic weeks ahead for us so I will have to sneak in my hobby here and there, and in between!
This dude is simple to make.
All you need is

1 banana,
2 mandarines,
4 sultanas/raisins/rosiner and
peanut-butter and
1 slice of bread.

How to make Pete The Lion!

1) grab a slice of bread

2) Cut a circle

3) get out your ingredients

4) even sized sultanas for eyes,
nose and cut the last one for whiskers and smile :)

5) Peanutbutter on the circle

6) place the banana slices

7) And the sultanas!

8) the whiskers and smile

And there you go!
Easy as pie and cute as a button haha :)

Teething toddlers and mesh feeders!

You know, I think the mesh feeder always looks so... Uhm... Strange!
But I have come to love it.

...Correction, Lil princess has come to love it!
Unlike my little hero, the lil Miss loves yoghurt! And frozen yoghurt was a BIG hit!

I bought some really cute 3$ silicone chocolate moulds at woolys and filled them up with greek natural yoghurt and into the freezer they went!
Abrah-kadabrah!

Into the mesh and over to the baby:

The teething baby is very happy!
...And the mess is great proof of it :)

The mesh is awesome for the hands don't get cold and she can eat them on her own.

The little dude atleast tried yoghurt this way but he is not a big fan. He got some dinosaurs ~moulds also from woolys.

You can get the mesh feeders here:

You can find the dino and robot mold here

TIP: When you keep your silicone moulds in the freezer box, they can get a very bad freezer-box smell that is very hard to get rid of; I find that the best thing to do, Is to use the moulds to shape the yoghurt/icecubes/food/Chocolate and then pop the finished product into znap lock/Zip lock bags so that my silicone moulds dont end up with that impossible-to-get-rid-of smell!

World turtle day, may 23 2013

Hello there!
Its world turtle day today, and thats a day I can dig! I love turtles!!
To read more about it, go here:

I made two different turtles today to celebrate the creatures that symbolises eternal life.

The first is a #sandwichAday turtle.
He is made from wholegrain bread with almond butter, avocado and zucchini.

The 2nd one is made of kiwi.
Its a greek yoghurt, granola and kiwi turtle. The turtles eye is a chia seed.
The sun is made of banana :)

Tiny little turtle this one.
Yum!!
(click for the Granola recipe here:)

Here in Sydney the rain is poring down like there is no need for water tomorrow haha. Its incredible how much rain can drop in just a little time!
Its cold and wintery!
The houses here are simply not made for colder that 15c degrees. So freezing inside once the temperature drops!

Wishing everyone who pops by here, a lovely day. No matter the weather!
